01-28-2012 and 01-29-2012 Fishing Trips Lake Carmi + Carry Bay

Lake Carmi fishing trip on Saturday with Justin ,Cheech and his 5 year old son ... And of course Kayla . The day started off slow , and yes it continued to be extremely slow . We got Maybe 30 between us , But the Excitement was watching cheech's son Chase flags , Got to be around Noon and I get called over for Lunch Cheech had prepared Venison Sausage Sandwich , And Some marinated Goose and Duck meat what a great lunch , So we get back to the Launch and this older lady pulls up got any fish for sale , Mr Softy I sent kayla over with the Bucket she gives the Lady our fish and my Favorite Scoop , That ended the Day ......

So Sunday we decided to go to Carry Bay for the Day the whole Gang was there Fishhounds Jamie was there and his Client Jim and Bobby and Dylan and Dave AKA Gofish , and Scott and the rest of the Gang , Was on my way out my poor girls anything that we try to do together bad luck The Nanook TC Cover get sucked under shanty guess what the Cord Ripped There goes that 50.00 Cover Darn it . Anyway to get on with the Fishing it started slow , But changed over to these Jigs I bought from Kevin Bratner Fish frys oh My hold on Holly and I filled well over 3/4 of a pale of a 6 gallon bucket , What a great day it turned out to be . It was Nice having holly fishing with me was her 1st trip out Since Collin was born , Nema which is Amy watched Collin so Holly could go out . I love having both my Girls with me , Can't wait to have Collin join us he will start early . Just like my girls did . It was a great weekend Love you girls it was fun

Well it was time to hit Lake Carmi Again

It is that time of year I know I have not posted alot or anything recently , Very Excited this year picked up quite a few New things to add to the Ice Adventure this year First was the TC Scout Last Spring and the Nanook TC and at the Sportsman Show Last weekend I decided I needed another Single So I bought the Jason Mitchell Pro  what a Nice Shanty , Not that the other ones aren't . I decided at the Beginning this year I wanted a New Auger So I bought the Strikemaster Lite II 4 Stroke what a Nice Quiet smooth piece that is , Then instead of staying with no Spinning reels I went with some New Fenwick Ultra Tech Ice rods 25 inch Ultra Lights how Nice those are , Then I saw Some Team Northlander Combos 29 Inch Ulta lights have not really got a chance to try them yet , And then While I was at the Show I needed to find me a rod Locker so I got the Ice Armor Rod Locker so that will protect my Investments , and then I got the Ice Armor Bag for the Vexilar that is so nice too cause you can put all of your stuff in it all your Tackle . Also decided to break down and get myself and Kayla out Ice Armor the blue Suits which is a nice addition to us .

Almost that time of year again

Yeah its almost that time of year again , Where that water turns to Ice so Looking forward to it this year . Was a great summer of camping and a new Arrival of My Grandson Collin Charles Benway So excited can't wait to to take him ..... My Clam Fish houses are all set I need to put out all my Stuff and get it ready . Jigs and some new jig boxes , I should be all set . Its going to be a great year I hope ,

Well its official I'm Hooked

Well on Sunday I figured I would like to take the Girls to Green Mountain Troutfitters in Jeffersonville , From the website I was excited to see the store , well we got there and I walked in no Hello , Some guy was fiddling with the register , I walked buy him still no hello , I know my kids are going to say really your going to say this again , I was truly Disappointed . I had been looking at the website for a while and decided they had some good prices on the Combos he had . And there was no combos too look at .... I was some Sad .....:(  Well yesterday I took the two girls that I love with all of my heart , Decided to go to The Fly Rod Shop in Stowe , I can tell you this they were more then Helpful I wanted really a 5 WT and they did not have one but they had a 4WT that I fell in love with but no reel So I asked about putting one of the combo reels on this rod Sure he says for the same price absolutely , You will never guess where I will be shopping for my Fly Fishing stuff ... It was so nice Now I have a New Ross Fly Rod , Some New Gadgets , Some New Waders the light weight ones . Kayla bought her dad a New Nice Backpack with water bladder , And to put my Flies in So Excited I can't say good enough things about the www.flyrodshop.com they are very helpful www.flyrodshop.com

Has been a while

Has been a while since I have made a post sorry about that . Been a busy Summer , You always think you have time with Camping , Fire and Rescue and fishing there is no time and the House chores . Well me went to Mountain View Campground is Morrisville and I brought my flyrod well I got my 1st Nice little rainbow on it . It was awesome . Best feeling I have ever had really it was so amazing that I caught something my 2nd time out with it . I cant wait wait for this weekend , We are in New Haven at Rivers bend Campground . So cant wait for my flyrod there ...

Camping Update

Well first weekend of camping what great weather we had , It was so Nice when we parked the camper it was a little Wet , So it continued to dry out that week.And then we came to last weekend and the rain but wasn't too bad , We had a feast and a half , Started out with some Hot Wings and Teriyaki Wings was Fantastic , And then Hand Cut French Fries , Then some Bacon and Cheese on Fries with Sour cream , Then Gravy and Fries , Then  Fried Bread dough , it was so nice .... It was Awesome .......

Well 3 days left to 1st Camping trip

Yeah 3 days until we head out for the 1st camping trip of 2011 we buy into the 3 weekend package at Lone Pine , a group of us get together this Friday 1st night . Can't wait Family and great Friends ... Should be good if we have dry Sites lol ...
