Almost that time of year again

Yeah its almost that time of year again , Where that water turns to Ice so Looking forward to it this year . Was a great summer of camping and a new Arrival of My Grandson Collin Charles Benway So excited can't wait to to take him ..... My Clam Fish houses are all set I need to put out all my Stuff and get it ready . Jigs and some new jig boxes , I should be all set . Its going to be a great year I hope ,

Well its official I'm Hooked

Well on Sunday I figured I would like to take the Girls to Green Mountain Troutfitters in Jeffersonville , From the website I was excited to see the store , well we got there and I walked in no Hello , Some guy was fiddling with the register , I walked buy him still no hello , I know my kids are going to say really your going to say this again , I was truly Disappointed . I had been looking at the website for a while and decided they had some good prices on the Combos he had . And there was no combos too look at .... I was some Sad .....:(  Well yesterday I took the two girls that I love with all of my heart , Decided to go to The Fly Rod Shop in Stowe , I can tell you this they were more then Helpful I wanted really a 5 WT and they did not have one but they had a 4WT that I fell in love with but no reel So I asked about putting one of the combo reels on this rod Sure he says for the same price absolutely , You will never guess where I will be shopping for my Fly Fishing stuff ... It was so nice Now I have a New Ross Fly Rod , Some New Gadgets , Some New Waders the light weight ones . Kayla bought her dad a New Nice Backpack with water bladder , And to put my Flies in So Excited I can't say good enough things about the www.flyrodshop.com they are very helpful www.flyrodshop.com

Has been a while

Has been a while since I have made a post sorry about that . Been a busy Summer , You always think you have time with Camping , Fire and Rescue and fishing there is no time and the House chores . Well me went to Mountain View Campground is Morrisville and I brought my flyrod well I got my 1st Nice little rainbow on it . It was awesome . Best feeling I have ever had really it was so amazing that I caught something my 2nd time out with it . I cant wait wait for this weekend , We are in New Haven at Rivers bend Campground . So cant wait for my flyrod there ...

Camping Update

Well first weekend of camping what great weather we had , It was so Nice when we parked the camper it was a little Wet , So it continued to dry out that week.And then we came to last weekend and the rain but wasn't too bad , We had a feast and a half , Started out with some Hot Wings and Teriyaki Wings was Fantastic , And then Hand Cut French Fries , Then some Bacon and Cheese on Fries with Sour cream , Then Gravy and Fries , Then  Fried Bread dough , it was so nice .... It was Awesome .......

Well 3 days left to 1st Camping trip

Yeah 3 days until we head out for the 1st camping trip of 2011 we buy into the 3 weekend package at Lone Pine , a group of us get together this Friday 1st night . Can't wait Family and great Friends ... Should be good if we have dry Sites lol ...

Clam Fish Trap Nanook Thermal Cover / Fish Trap Scout Thermal Cover

Well I think I have to say I can't wait till Ice fishing this year , I picked up these 2 Shantys last week , So excited Picked up the Clam Fish Trap Nanook TC and the Clam Fish Trap Scout TC The Nanook is the double and I wanted a single for the days I only go out , and I picked up a Scout TC . Thanks to James for working with me , Now I just need to upgrade MY FL-18 for a 20 or another 22HD But the 18 works great ... I just can't see the money difference right now in a head exchange . Although I might  who knows

Sandbar Swamp

Well Last night 04-22-11 Wasn't there 5 minutes and wasn't paying much attention looked out and could not find my Bobber , Oh my fish on !!!!!!! With my new Okuma I was in heaven , well for a little while until my Line got caught up in the Reel bale and used it like a fly rod , Got the Salmon close to shore and guess what saw me and went the opposite way Snap there it goes no drag what the hang , My 1st fish with my new rod and I lossed it . Oh well going to try again today :) don't hurt to try ... LOL
